Kitchen Renovations
The kitchen is where your family and every guest end up. We plan it around how you cook, how many people sit down to eat and the storage you need, then build it with the finishes you have in mind: quartz counters, an island with seating, pot lights, new cabinetry.
What this usually includes
- Removing the old cabinets, counters and flooring
- New cabinetry, or refacing and painting the cabinets you have
- Quartz or stone counters, and an island with seating where the room allows
- Tile or stone backsplash
- Pot lights, pendants and under-cabinet lighting
- Sink, faucet, gas and appliance hookups by licensed trades
- New flooring, drywall repair and paint

How your renovation runs
Five steps, the same on every job, so you always know what happens next and who is doing it.
Request a free estimateSite visit and written estimate
Kumail comes to your home, looks at the space with you and talks through what you want. You get a written estimate at no charge, with the scope spelled out.
Plan, finishes and timeline
Materials, finishes and the schedule are settled with you before anything is ordered or opened up.
Permits and registration
If your job needs a building permit, or a basement unit needs to be registered with the City, we say so at the estimate and build it into the plan.
The build
Kumail runs the site day to day. Electrical, plumbing and heating work is done by licensed trades he works with regularly.
Final walkthrough
We walk the finished space with you, room by room, and anything that is not right is fixed before we call the job done.
Kitchens: common questions
Can we keep the layout to control the cost?
Yes. Keeping the sink, stove and fridge where they are usually costs less, because the plumbing and gas lines stay put. If you are considering a new layout, Kumail prices both at the estimate so you can decide with the numbers in front of you.
Can we have an island?
Where the room allows, yes. An island needs clear walking space on every side, and Kumail will tell you at the site visit whether yours has it and what seating, storage or a cooktop in the island would add.
Can we use the kitchen during the work?
For part of the job, no. At the estimate we agree on a plan, usually a temporary setup in another room with the fridge and a microwave, and a realistic stretch of days without a working kitchen.
